The 2025 GBx Annual Black Tie Gala celebrated British innovation, entrepreneurship, and scientific excellence in the Bay Area. Under the theme Best of British Breakthroughs, the evening paid tribute to iconic figures such as Sir Isaac Newton, Ada Lovelace, and Alan Turing, alongside modern pioneers including Maggie Aderin-Pocock and Sir Demis Hassabis.
Guests enjoyed an elegant evening featuring a cocktail reception, fine dining, a fireside chat with Al Gore and Colin Le Duc, an awards ceremony, and a charitable sweepstake supporting The King’s Trust. Interactive experiences and immersive storytelling brought the legacy of British discovery to life, creating a night that blended heritage, innovation, and philanthropy in true GBx style.
